Established in 2000, ASSET Engineering is a consulting firm recognized as a specialist in power system design and analysis. Our team is anchored by veteran power system design leaders and a growing team of control system professional engineers. We provide our clients decades of experience in specialized electrical engineering design, protection and control systems, and project management services. Our clients include utility companies, independent power producers, and large industrial and institutional power users. Over 100 clients have relied on ASSET Engineering for optimized electrical designs that have stood the test of time.

R. NEAL RICH, P.E.
Managing Partner / Senior Engineer
In addition to being the founding principal and managing partner of ASSET Engineering, Mr. Rich is a Senior Engineer with over 30 years of experience in all aspects of power systems design, installation, operation and maintenance, including; transmission systems to 500kV and 34.5kV utility and industrial substations. He has managed projects up to $50MM total installed cost. In his role as managing partner, Mr. Rich is responsible for the complete operation of the firm. He manages the overall structure and operational direction of the company, including the development and maintenance of company strategies and vision. Prior to founding ASSET, Mr. Rich led the substation EPC group for General Electric. He now leads and mentors our team of professional engineers sharing his extensive knowledge and expertise on a broad array of client projects.
Mr. Rich is an active member of the local community and a dedicated civic leader. He works through participation in the local chamber, various committees and religious institutions to help enrich the lives and environment of all those in our shared society.

Ron Reed, MBA, PMP®
Vice President of Business Development
With more than 35 years of combined experience in engineering and construction, Ron Reed is an engaged leader who builds and creates high-performing teams and specializes in the development, direction, and implementation of innovative strategies. He has a progressive record of achievements leading the strategic growth of ASSET Engineering. In his role as the Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Reed has managed multi-million dollar contract negotiations, operational logistics, project management, and business planning. He is solutions-oriented and highly skilled as a Project Management Professional with extensive enterprise-level experience in planning, development, and the integration and execution of large scale programs and management of multi-location teams.

J. Michael Albritton, JR., PE
Manager of Engineers
Mr. Albritton has over 17 years of diverse experience in the engineering and design of electrical power systems and high voltage substations. His project background enables him to serve clients from utilities to industrials to developers and includes competencies across protection and control systems, relaying, SCADA designs, system studies, power quality, and other areas of power systems. Since joining ASSET over 14 years ago, his technical and leadership qualities have earned the respect of his peers, management and our clients. He now very effectively leads our team of project engineers and designers in the delivery of various projects that may include studies, protection and control engineering, and substation design. In addition to his roles and responsibilities at ASSET, he serves as an adjunct professor at Belhaven University where he teaches an engineering introductory course that exposes prospective engineering students to the profession. The skills he displays engaging and mentoring these students are evident in his leadership style and are also a major contributor to the company culture of collaboration and team work.
