ASSET Engineering Welcomes Luke Blundell, Graduate Engineer
Ridgeland, MS – ASSET Engineering is excited to welcome Luke Blundell as a new Graduate Engineer in our Ridgeland, Mississippi office! Luke will be assisting our engineers while he gains valuable work experience in this industry. In his position, he will be helping with physical, P&C, and studies work, as well as general power systems analysis for substation design. Currently, Luke is designing and modeling substations in a simulation software, which he uses to run various studies.
Prior to joining ASSET Engineering, Luke worked as an engineering intern at a major power company. In this position, he worked on various research and lab projects, during which he worked with data necessary for system simulations pertaining to his research projects. Luke also developed design packages, substation designs, and relay designs, as well as lab procedure modifications. In his time interning, Luke used various software’s and programs, including AutoCAD and Python. These skills allowed him to set up drawings and SynerGEE software for automation task development.
Luke grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from Mississippi College with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Outside of the office, Luke enjoys spending time shooting and doing yard work at his home in Clinton, MS, which he shares with his wife and dog. ASSET Engineering is excited to have Luke join our team and look forward to the ways he will help our company!
