ASSET Engineering Welcomes Eva Harris, PMP as Latest Project Manager
Canton, MS – ASSET Engineering, an expanding power system engineering firm, is proud to announce that Eva Harris, PMP will be joining the Jacksonville, Florida Office as a Project Manager. She will be tasked with providing project support and assisting with proposal development, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and managing contract negotiation and change orders all while continuing to uphold positive relationships with our customers. Mrs. Harris’ first assignment will be the project management of a substation project located in Limestone County, Texas near Waco, Texas. Owned and operated by one of the nation’s largest utilities, this substation project is an “open air” collector with a 34.5/345 kV Main Power Transformer that will connect the neighboring facility to a 345 kV generation tie line.
Eva Harris is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and prior to joining ASSET Engineering, she was a Project Manager at Pike Electric where she lead a team of Work Management Technicians and an Assistant Project Manager. She was also responsible for managing and tracking projects day to day as well as long term, supporting the master service agreements, as well as maintaining accurate monthly financial reporting for projects. She was also a Site Suitability Engineer for Siemens Wind Power and was quickly promoted to Manager of the group, she then moved into Manager of Technical Project Management for the Engineering Department. Here, she evaluated engineering requests to identify solutions and options to solve her client’s technical challenges and provided support for client meetings as the Engineering Representative.
Eva Harris is a graduate of Ohio University where she earned a B.S. in Meteorology with a emphasis in Geography, and later earned an M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from Ohio State University. Eva Harris was raised in Cortland, Ohio and has lived in Orlando, Florida for 11 years with her husband Monty, and their two children, Lily (8) and Luke (6), and two dogs, Louis a Maltie-Poo (15) and Stormy, a Mini Goldendoodle (1). Eva enjoys spending time with her family, being in the outdoors, running, hiking, cooking/baking, playing pickleball, and lounging pool or beachside in the Sunshine State. Her impressive track record and expertise in project management will undoubtedly help us achieve greater success in the delivery of our power system engineering projects!
