ASSET Engineering Celebrates Monumental 20th Anniversary

Canton, MS – What was once a one man operation is now a multi-million dollar engineering firm celebrating their 20th Anniversary in Canton, Mississippi. Since the beginning, ASSET Engineering has experienced exponential growth — both nationally and internationally.

Senior Engineer Neal Rich founded ASSET Engineering in February of 2000 in Madison, Mississippi. The team swiftly grew, and before they knew it, they had outgrown their original space in Madison. In their search for a new homebase, they looked at locations in Jackson, Madison, and Ridgeland, but the small community of Canton, Mississippi continuously drew them back.

Their first Canton office, again, quickly became too small for the growing engineering firm. In 2007, the ASSET team moved to an underused building immediately off of the historic Canton Square. What was once a doctor’s office in the 50’s became an award-winning renovation that ASSET Engineering calls home still to this day.

The ASSET team loves being located in Canton, MS; the slower pace and the community is a characteristic that only small towns have. The team enjoys being active within the Canton community where they are involved in the Chamber of Commerce, Canton’s Education Committee, Rotary Reader Program, and the iCan/weCan mentorship program.

ASSET Engineering is recognized as a specialist in power system design and analysis for utility companies, independent power producers, and large industrial and institutional power users. They are dedicated to providing their clients with principles of integrity and quality electrical engineering solutions through a focus on innovations in the engineering industry.
