ASSET Engineering Welcomes Marsha Hobby
Local engineering firm grows engineering capabilities by hiring Electrical Engineering Professional
Canton, MS – ASSET Engineering, an engineering firm that specializes in power system designs and analysis, has recently hired Marsha Hobby as the company’s newest Electrical Engineering Professional. In this role, she will be responsible for power system studies and substation designs. Currently, she is performing electrical studies such as arc flash, relay coordination, short circuit analysis and load flow for industrial projects in Hawaii and Florida.
Prior to joining ASSET Engineering, Marsha served as the Senior Electrical Engineer for a large industrial facility in Tennessee that specializes in chemicals and specialty materials. In her role there, Hobby gained valuable industry knowledge and experience with substation equipment, operation, testing, and compliance.
Marsha earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering for Electric Machinery and Power Distribution from the Tennessee Technological University. She is also a licensed Electrician for the state of Tennessee, has years in field work experience and hands-on simulation software. Marsha came here from Bristol, Tennessee and enjoys NASCAR and her plants. She is a mother of two and a proud grandmother of three.
