ASSET Engineering’s Will McArthur Earns PE License

Canton, MS – July 11, 2017 – ASSET Engineering is proud to announce that Will McArthur has been granted Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure by the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. In order to become licensed, prospective engineers must undergo and complete a number of steps. They must earn a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam, complete four years of progressive engineering experience under a licensed PE, and pass the Principals and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam.
Will McArthur graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and joined the ASSET team in 2012 as a Project Engineer. During his internship, Will was responsible for the engineering of electrical systems for utility and industrial electric substations. Some of his duties included developing short circuit studies, load flow studies, and substation ground grid designs. He also developed load flow and reactive compensation studies for several large utility scale solar projects. One of these was a 550 MW photovoltaic solar project which at the time of its construction was the largest of its kind in the world.
Will has demonstrated his knowledge and specialized skills, while performing to the highest standards of quality and ethics. ASSET Engineering is proud of his accomplishments and to have him on the team as a certified Professional Engineer for the State of Mississippi.
