Meet Jared McQuirter, a Graduate Engineer at ASSET Engineering

ASSET Engineering is excited to introduce Jared McQuirter as a Graduate Engineer in our Ridgeland, Mississippi office! Jared has been helping create technical documents for electrical installations for projects in the power industry. One of his roles is assisting with the physical arrangement part of our projects. Currently, Jared is working on a black start study to size a Battery Energy Storage System for a plant, as well as creating a one-line model for a substation.

Before joining ASSET Engineering, Jared Co-Op’d at a paper company for multiple academic terms. During this time, he assisted a Project Engineer with the implementation, planning, and management of the Minor Inspection of Turbine Generators, as well as assisting in many different areas. These areas of experience include, but are not limited to, the management of a demolition, the development of a project that replaced all six Transformer Rectifier Sets on precipitators, and frequently assisting Project Engineers with drawings. Jared is skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft, Adobe Acrobat, P&ID, Instrumentation, and PI Processbook.

Jared is from Moselle, Mississippi, and he recently graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. When not in the office, he enjoys working out, training jiu jitsu, grilling, and spending time with his friends and family. ASSET Engineering is delighted to have Jared on our team and are looking forward to the ways he will help our company as he gains valuable work experience!
