Get to Know Jessica Heggins, Senior Electrical Designer at ASSET Engineering

ASSET Engineering is excited to introduce Jessica Heggins as one of our Senior Electrical Designers located at our headquarters in Ridgeland, Mississippi. As a Senior Electrical Designer, her responsibilities include creating customer drawing packages from one-line schematics and preparing the project’s Bill of Materials. Currently, Mrs. Heggins is working on developing such designs and packages for several of our key solar and industrial clients.

“I would like to think my role here will not only support each project’s engineers but help each grow into a well-rounded and knowledgeable team based on everyone’s experience,” says Mrs. Heggins. “I have been enjoying getting to know the distribution side of the industry here with ASSET and look forward to taking in much more and, hopefully, sharing a bit of my experience as well.”

With a commitment to excellence, Jessica Heggins brings over 20 years of experience and a keen attention to detail. She is a native from Florence, Mississippi and she studied Industrial Drafting at Hinds Community College in 2000. Shortly after graduation, Mrs. Heggins began working in design & engineering for Medium Voltage Bus Systems for generating stations across North America. Later in her career, she moved into the field services where she specialized in troubleshooting, emergency retrofits, and quick turnkey projects.

Jessica Heggins is the proud mother of two sons and two daughters, Tyler (22), Brock (20), Haley Grace (17), and Carly (13). In her spare time, she and her husband, Stephan, enjoy working on home projects together and spending quality time outdoors with their friends, family, and newest grandson, Angelo (1).
